It was Saturday morning. Ernie was practicing
his trumpet. He had a show at school that night. Bert was still sleeping. He told
Ernie to be quiet because he didn’t sleep well the night before. Ernie was a
good boy. He went to the park to practice his trumpet. Bert slept and slept
until six o’clock at night. He wake up and found a show ticket and a note on
the desk. “The school show starts at seven tonight. Come and see me, you good
friend!” wrote Ernie. Bert got up and ran to school. There he saw Ernie playing
trumpet on the stage. They were happy!
