One day, Ernie’s grandfather gives him a
new trumpet. Ernie feels very happy and he wants to show it to all of his
friends. First he goes to Grover’s house, but Grover is not at home. Then he
goes to Prairie Dawn’s house. She is busy planting the seeds and watering the
flowers in the garden, so she doesn’t have time to see Ernie new trumpet. After
that, Ernie goes to Bert’s house. When he gets into the house, Bert is
sleeping. In order to wake Bert up, Ernie plays the trumpet near his bed.
Finally, Bert gets up and enjoys the music with Ernie. Now Ernie is very happy
and they have a good time together.
