One night, Ernie couldn’t sleep. He was
very bored. He wanted to play with Bert. Bert was very tired and he didn’t want
to play with Ernie. Ernie felt lonely so he took out his trumpet to play. He
wanted to wake Bert up. He played and played, and he didn’t want to stop. Bert
used his pillow to cover his head, but he still couldn’t sleep. Suddenly, the
phone rang. It was the neighbor. They said it was too noisy. Ernie felt sorry
so he put away his trumpet and went to sleep.
