This morning, Bert asks Ernie, “What can I wear? My clothes are all the same! Can we go shopping? “Ernie says “Yes, that will be fun.” Bert brushes his teeth and then they go to the big department store. First, they buy some blue pants for Bert. Next they go to the sneaker store to buy brown and white sneakers. After that, they buy Bert a new sweater. “I like this one!” says Bert. It is orange, blue and green. Finally, they ride the bus home. When they get home Bert looks at his new clothes. They are the same as his old clothes! "I guess there was nothing wrong with my old clothes after all, Ernie!"

The black Monster

“Ahh… …!”

“There is a monster in my room!”

“It is black and it has two big, shiny eyes!”

“And it runs very fast!!”

“Oh, no, Andy”

“There aren’t any monsters in this world.”

“But … … I saw it ten times!”

“Go to bed, O.K.?”

“All right.”

“Good boy, goodnight, Andy.”

“Goodnight, mom.”

“I need to find that black monster.” Andy said to himself.

“Ahh!” The idea came to his mid.

Tonight, he just lay on his bed holding a flashlight and a net.

As he expected, the monster appeared!

He turned on the flashlight and moved it toward the monster.

Then he used the net to cash it!

“Yeah, I got it!” shouted Andy.

He turned on the light in his room and walked to the monster.

“Hey, it’s not a black monster, it’s a black cat!”

“Mom! Mom!”

“What’s going on, Andy?”

“Mom, you see! It’s that black monster!”

“This black cat?”

“Yes!!”

“Mom, can we keep it, please.”

“All right.” “Yeah!”

“Lucy is your new name.” said Andy.

“I think you need to take a bath. Mom, can you help me?”

“Of couse!”

“Let’s go Lucy.” said Andy.

A fish adventure

It’s eight o’clock and I have just finished my dinner. I’m sitting on the sofa talking to my parents about my day at school. We start to play cards, but I can’t keep my eyes open! I’m falling asleep on sofa.

My eyes are clothed, but I feel something touching me. I open my eyes and see hundreds of fish all around me! I start to flout in the room. I look at my hands and they have become fins! “I’m a fish!” I shut.

Next, I saw all the fish swimming out the window, so I followed them. Wow! Outside there was a beautiful blue ocean. “It’s so much fun to be a fish”, I thought. I continued to swim and play with the other fish!

Suddenly, a cute fish with a butter fly bow on her head appeared in front of me. She said her name was “Cathy”. We played together and had pillow fight with the other fish. We were so happy and I didn’t want to be a human again.

One day, Cathy invited me to her house. Her house was so beautiful, just like a palace!

After a lot of planning, Cathy and I started on our adventure! We travelled for many hours, until the ocean got darker and darker. Suddenly, we saw something bright. We quickly swam toward the light. “Oh! It’s just a shell”, I said.

At that moment, I saw something tall right in front of me. “Look! It is a castle.” I shouted. Just then, I saw a lot of monsters all around us. Cathy picked up the shell and used the light to blind the monsters. Next, I saw a shiny key in a monster’s heat. I took out a knife and stabbed it, then I pulled out the key. We quickly swam into the castle.

Finally, I saw the box. When I wanted to open it, a shark swam towards me “AH!” I screamed. Suddenly, I felt someone slapping my face. “Peter, wake up! Peter, wake up!”

It was just a dream!

The Last Package of Kuai-Kuai on the Rock

“The best seller of the day is Kuai-Kuai” said the cashier at A-mart.

Kuai-Kuai is the most favorite snack for all ages.

Everybody likes to eat it!

Kuai-Kuai was proud.

However, there were so many kinds of snack on the rack.

There was a package of Kuai-Kuai in the back of rack.

It is too hard to be seen so it has been on the rack for a month.

This package of Kuai-Kuai is sad.

It’s didn’t want to be alone on the rack with other products.

It wanted to be bought by someone.

One day, a cute girl came to A-mart with her mother. It was her birthday. She wanted to buy Kuai-Kuai for her birthday party.

She got all the Kuai-Kuai on the rack. “One, two, three, … … eight. Mom, there only eight of them I need nine” the cute girl said.

“You can buy different crackers.” said Mom.

The girl only liked Kuai-Kuai. She didn’t give up looking for it on the rack.

Finally, she found the last package which was hidden behind other cookies. She was so happy.

They went to the cashier with nine packages of Kuai-Kuai. “Oh. Kuai-Kuai is so popular!” said the cashier.

They went home happily to prepare for the birthday party.

The last package of Kuai-Kuai was with her too!

When they got home, the little girl and her mom prepared the party busily.

It’s the dinner time, all her friends who were invited arrived on time!

It’s party time!

The little girl was very happy. She had a wonderful birthday paty.

The last package of Kuai-Kuai had its dream come true.

It grinned because it made the little girl so happy.

A Picnic with my friend

My friend and I were going to have a picnic in the park. I was so excited, so I woke up at 7:00 and prepared cooking, fruits, sandwiches, tea and milk, At 7:40, I just walked to my friend, Eileen’s house and waited for other friends.

At 8:00, Betty Wu, Joy and Peter all came here and we put everything in the car. Eileen’s mother was very nice and she wanted to give us a ride to the park.

On the way there, I could see the park form the car window and I told my friends Betty Wu said, “Wow! It’s beautiful and there are many trees in the park.” When the car stopped, everyone just took out the stuff and ran to the park.

We settled down everything and started to play ball. When Joy threw the ball to Eileen, she couldn’t get the ball. Because she was too short. The ball stuck in a tree. I wanted to help Eileen, but I didn’t know how to climb a tree. When I was thinking how to get the ball Peter came.

Peter climbed on the tree very quickly. When he found the ball, he saw something long and thick. He wanted to get that thing, but that thing was moving very quickly.

He didn’t know what the thing was. When he wanted to touch it again, the thing just looked at him. Peter shouted, “Oh, no! It’s a snake.” He was scared and he almost fell from the tree.

He wanted to get down from the tree quickly because he thought the snake wanted to bite him. He first threw the ball down to us, but he didn’t stand properly and he just fell down.

Luckily, he was fine. He was very lucky that the snake didn’t bite him. We played ball together until 4:00 and everyone started to clean up.

On the way home, Joy said she wanted to play more and she didn’t want to go home. I told her let’s come here again next time.

We went home at 6:00. Everyone was tired, but we were very happy. I hope I still can came to this beautiful park again with all my friend next time.

Traveling around the world!

Hello! My name is Anderson. When I grow up, I would like to travel around the world.

First, I will go to Hong Kong by airplane. I will go to Disneyland and ride on the rollercoaster!

Then, I will sit on a train to Beijing to climb The Great Wall of China!

Next, I will travel to Turkey. In Turkey I will see a lots of Islam’s people praying in very big mosques.

After that, I will go to France. I will go up the amazing Eiffel Tower to see the beautiful views!

I will fly to New York City to look at The Statue of Liberty and I will go to Washington D.C. to see The White house. I think I’ll see Obama!

I will go to Los Angeles to see the huge Hollywood sign and all my favorite starts.

I will go to Sydney, Australia to see the wonderful Sydney Opera House and maybe kangaroo or two!

From Sydney, I will go to the Antarctic to see penguins, make many snowmen and have a snow ball fight!

Finally, I will go back to my home which is Taiwan to see the 101 building in Taipei.

Now do you want to travel around the world?

Survive in the wild

A ship that was sailing to America Sank this morning.

Many people are now missing. Linda was lucky enough to grab a piece of wood.

She was scared and freezing.

Linda floated to shore.

She was on an island covered with trees. She walked slowly in her bare feet. She was so hungry and thirsty.

In the distance, she saw apple trees and cherry trees! She was so happy.

When she tried to pick up the apples on the trees, poison snakes slithered out of the branches and hissed at her. She screamed and ran away with fear.

She went back to the shore. There she grabbed some branched and seaweed, and mad a fishing rod.

She went to sleep with an empty stomach.

That night, she even dreamed of her favorite dish, fired chicken and fish.

It is dangerous to be out alone on an unknown island.

The tiger in the woods and poison snake smelled her and ran after her.

Linda ran as fast as she could. She screamed and cried out loudly. The little animals were too scared to help her. Luckily, there was an earthquake and the tiger was killed by a giant rock.

Linda now realized that if she wants to survive in the wild, she must know how to take care herself.

She used drift wood from the seashore and seaweed to make a treehouse. Now, she had a place to stay.

She made spears with sticks and a piece of sharp rock.

She used spears to pick the fruits on the tree.

She also found some wild vegetables to cook.

The soup smelled so good that some little animals came to ask for food.

The mean tiger was dead and the poison snakes were afraid of her spear. Now, the little animals on the island were very happy. They all made friends with Linda.

Time passed, and Linda was on the island for almost half a year. Then, one day, a helicopter spotted the fire that Linda made.

Linda was happy to go home but she was also sad to leave the island. She promised her animal friends that she would definitely visit them again soon.

Traveler

It’s the year 2026, in New York city. There is an imaginative boy name Richard who loved to invent things. He really wants to make something amazing.

Over the next three years he built a time machine named Traveler.

“Now this is great.” He thought satisfied with his work. He decided to test Traveler so he pressed a red button on the panel.

Suddenly, Traveler rushed into a worm hole and then landed abruptly. The year was 1903.

Richard walked out of Traveler and saw two men talking about a machine they had built. Richard walked closer and saw the machine. He looked at the blue print a realized they were talking about airplanes!

Completely surprised, Richard recognized that the two men were the Wright brothers! The brothers see med very confused. There was something missing from the machine and it still couldn’t fly. Richard discussed with them and helped them create a new draft.

The brothers were so happy they didn’t notice Richard quietly sneak away.

He went back to Traveler and pressed the button again. Next, Richard landed in the year 1666.

This time something was wrong. Traveler was stuck in a tree!

Richard looked down and saw a man sitting under the tree. It was Issac Neeton! This is when he discovered gravity.

Again thought, Richard knew something was wrong. “He’s sleeping. Why is he sleeping?” Richard thought. Suddenly, he knew what to do.

He picked an apple from a branch and threw it at the sleeping Newton. Newton woke up startled and gazed ponderously at the apple.

Richard quickly pressed the red button again and landed back in the year 2026.

Richard stepped out of the Traveler and thought, “That was the best journey I’ve ever been on and this was the greatest invention I ever created.”

Super Aron

One day, a doctor manufactured a magic pill at the laboratory.

But his experiment failed, and the lab exploded and the magic pill flew out of the lab!

While Aron was waking up, the magic pill flew into his mouth.

In a little while, his T-shirt, pants and the belt fluttered to him.

Aron was scared, the clothed were flying closer and closer. He shouted loudly, “STOP!” and then the clothes stopped.

He found out that he was able to control the clothes.

To his surprise, he had the “Maggie Power!”

But he was worried about how to make this power useful.

While he was walking around, he saw a thief robbing a woman’s bag and woman was chasing him.

An idea flashed into mind, he used his power to catch the thief. The woman was happy, her bag flew back to her.

Aron decided that he would like to be a hero.

He punished those who was doing bad things.

One day, Aron walk happily on the street.

He saw a child picking a ball. But a car was going to hit the child.

Aron ran quickly to rescue the child.

However, it was too fast that he hit onto a wall.

The ambulance car came and he was taken to the hospital.

Fortunately, it wasn’t too serious. So he could leave the hospital soon.

After the accident, Aron loses his power. He got back to his normal life from that day.

Don’t judge a book by its cover

Introduction

I am going to tell you a true story that happened to me. This story has given me more knowledge about love and also I want to share it with you to let you know how touched I felt.

I hummed while walking down the road that I usually use and went into a 7-11. “Ding-Ding” the door opened automatically and a gentle breeze of air conditioning cooled my face.

I couldn’t wait to enjoy my favorite iced tea to refresh myself. Mm… so good! While sitting at a bar in the dining area and looking outside the store through the windows, I watched people come in and out.

All of a sudden, a strange-looking man came in and drew my full attention. He was wearing a dirty brown jacket, patched jeans and split shoes and looked like a homeless man.

Quickly I noticed that he smelled. “Oh! How disgusting the smell is” “Is he here for air conditioning?” I thought in my mind.

All the customers in the store were staring at him but said nothing. Some of them were frowning and some were stepping back from him.

Even few of the customers covered their noses impolitely because of the unpleasant smell from him.

However, the man wasn’t affected by anyone at all and went to the counter to pay for the food he had picked out.

When he walked outside the store, he looked like he was looking for something.

After a few minutes, a little blonde-haired dog wave its tail and came to him. He shared the food with it and touched it gently. He was smiling and had a happy face with joy and relief.

When I realized what happened exactly, I was regretful and ashamed of myself that I judged him by his appearance. Though the homeless man may only own little, he still shared what he had and his love with other.

The tail of the mouse

There was once a lonely old dog who nobody wanted. He would walk the streets, begging for food. His fur was dirty and he smelled bad, but his eyes were so friendly. All he wanted was a friend to love.

One day, while the fog was looking in a garbage can for some dinner, he heard a little noise. “Help! Help! Please someone help!” The fog looked around and saw a tiny mouse with big scared eyes, trapped under the garbage can.

“What happened to you?” said the dog. “a man put this can on my tail and now I can’t move!” said the mouse.

The dog pushed and pushed but he couldn’t move the can. “It’s too heavy!” said the dog. “Let me try something.”

The dog jumped up into the garbage can and began to pick put the garbage. He threw out old fish bones, slippery banana peels and rotten eggs. The smell so bad, people on the street were holding their noses.

Finally, all of the garbage was out of the garbage can. When the dog pushed it this time, it rolled over. The mouse was free! “Thank you! Thank you!” said the mouse.

The door next to the garbage can opened and an angry man came out. When he saw the mess, he screamed at the dog, “Get out of here, you naughty dog!”

The mouse jumped on to the dogs head and they ran away as fast as they could.

When they were safe, the mouse said “How can I thank you, dog?” “Will you be my friend?” he asked quietly. From that day on, they were best friends. The dog was never lonely again.
