Ernie had a trumpet. He played it day and night. One day, Bert went to bed early because he was very tired. Ernie still practicing the trumpet and Bert couldn’t fall asleep. Finally, Ernie went to take a bath. Bert fell asleep and had a wonderful dream. In his dream, he was watching MAYDAY’S concert. He was so excited because he was sitting in the first row! Suddenly, he heard a strange sound. It sound so awful that everyone in the concert covered their ears!

Suddenly, Bert saw Ernie playing the trumpet on the stage! “It is so loud!” said Bert. Just then, Bert open his eyes and found out it was just a dream.

Ernie’s mom got him a trumpet for his birthday. “Look! My mom got me a trumpet! Listen, Bert!” said Ernie happily. Bert was so tired. He just got back from work. All he wanted to do was to eat and sleep. “No, Ernie. I am really tired and I have a headache.” said Bert tiredly. “Are you sick, Bert? Let me cook for you!” said Ernie. Ernie made fish congee for Bert. It was delicious! “Bert, you don’t have to be a musician, you can be a chef!” said Bert. “Thank you! Now you have to rest! I will play the trumpet to help you to sleep better!” said Ernie.

Ernie joined a trumpet club. He played every day. He wished to play in front of a crowd on day. He practiced very hard but he couldn’t read the notes well. Bert couldn’t stand the noise so he decided to teach Ernie how to play the trumpet. Bert taught Ernie how to hold the trumpet correctly, breathe lightly, and the way to blow it correctly. After a month of training, Ernie could play the trumpet very well and he was invited to play for the 200^th Year Celebration of Sesame Street.

One morning, Bert and Ernie got up early. Ernie was in the bathroom brushing his teeth. Suddenly, he heard Bert shouting for help. He quickly ran to Bert’s bedroom. Bert said, “Ernie, please help me. I don’t know what should I wear today?” Ernie looked at the closet and said, “They all look the same, Bert! They’re all in the same color and style! Just choose on and change. Hurry! The school bus wouldn’t wait for us and I don’t want to walk to school!” Bert and Ernie quickly changed their clothes and left house. Luckily, the friendly bus driver waited for them and they got to school on time. Bert and Ernie enjoyed going to school because they always have fun there.

Bert and Ernie are classmates. They have different hobbies. They join different clubs, but they live in the same room. Ernie played his trumpet while Bert was sleeping. So Bert was very angry. They often quarreled. Bert wanted to solve the problem. They held a meeting. They made one room into two rooms.

Finally, they become good friends. Every weekend they went for a picnic with their class. They shared their hobbies with each other and admired each ether’s adversity.

Today was the first day of the summer vacation. Ernie did not have to go to school, so he felt very bored. He wanted to play with his friend, Bert. He rode his new bicycle to Bert’s house. When Ernie arrived at Bert’s house, Bert was sleeping. Ernie took out his trumpet to make Bert up. Ernie made a lot of noise, so Bert had to wake up. Then, they rode their bicycles to the park together. They played ball in the park and they were happy, they had a good time. After that, they went to the library to read some storybooks. Finally, they went to eat ice cream and hot dog for dinner. They had a wonderful day and they decided to play together the next day.

It is a nice morning. One black shadow is going to Bert’s bed … … Oh! That is Ernie! Ernie is standing next to Bert’s bed. He takes a trumpet and starts blowing it. He says, “Bert, hurry up! It’s time to wake up.” Bert says, “You are so noisy! Why will I wake up so early with you?” Ernie looks happy and says, “I want to eat breakfast with you. We never eat breakfast together, so I have to eat breakfast with you today.” Bert thinks that is a great idea, so he get out of his bed. Finally, they have a nice breakfast together. What a wonderful day it is!

Ernie can play many music instruments. One night, while Bert was sleeping in his bed, Ernie was still playing his trumpet. He was very noisy, so Bert couldn’t sleep. Bert said, ”can you stop playing your trumpet?” Ernie said, “Yes, I can.” “Thanks, I need to sleep at night.” said Bert. And then Ernie stopped, but he played his drums instead. He mode noisy again! Bert said “Can you stop playing your drum?” Ernie said, “Sure” But Ernie continued playing his other musical instrument. “Stop playing!” Bert shouted. Ernie work Bert up and said “You’re having a dream!” Then Bert opened his eyes and said ”What a strange dream it is !”

One day, Ernie’s brother bought a new trumpet for him. Ernie liked the trumpet very much, so every day he practiced blowing his trumpet. Bert thought it was very noisy, so Bert the trumpet out of the window. It went so high, it landed on an airplane. The airplane stared to fall. The people on the airplane thought they will crash into ocean! Bomb! Wow! No people died because they crashed onto a big jelly! They were very happy, so they ate all the jelly. It was so sweet. After that they all had a stomachache!

Ernie asked, “Why are you so sad, Bert?” He said, “I need your help because I can’t find the right clothes to work.” Everybody likes you because you wear the same clothes every day. That makes you so special. Ernie answer.

Beat felt terrific because he had so many good friends.

One day, Bert felt tired and he went to sleep. In his dream he saw many dinosaurs. At first, Bert felt scared, but the dinosaurs were friendly to him. The he played with the dinosaurs happily. All of a sudden, all the dinosaurs disappeared and Bert saw some strange-looking people. They explained to Bert that they were from the prehistoric village and they taught Bert how to hunt with spears. Just then, a huge monster appeared in front them. Bert was very scared and he started to run. The monster chased after him and opened its big mouth to roar loudly. Suddenly, Bert woke up from his bed and he saw Ernie standing near him playing the trumpet. Then he knew it just a dream.

Bert and Ernie were preparing themselves for school. While Ernie was brushing his teeth. Bert stared at his closet thinking what to wear. He asked Ernie for help. Ernie was surprised with Bert’s question! All his clothes and shoes were in the same style and color. He asked Bert a question, “Look at your clothes and shoes, do you see any difference?” Bert said, ”You’re a genius, Ernie! Thanks for helping.” Soon they left for school. In the class, someone joked about Bert clothes and said, “Bert, if there is an award for not changing clothes, you will be the winner!” Everyone laughed loudly at Bert. Bert was embarrassed. The boy knew he had hurt Bert felling and he apologized to him. Then Bert was happy again.

One day, Ernie’s grandfather gives him a new trumpet. Ernie feels very happy and he wants to show it to all of his friends. First he goes to Grover’s house, but Grover is not at home. Then he goes to Prairie Dawn’s house. She is busy planting the seeds and watering the flowers in the garden, so she doesn’t have time to see Ernie new trumpet. After that, Ernie goes to Bert’s house. When he gets into the house, Bert is sleeping. In order to wake Bert up, Ernie plays the trumpet near his bed. Finally, Bert gets up and enjoys the music with Ernie. Now Ernie is very happy and they have a good time together.

“No, can you not make that noise? You are so noisy!” said Bert.

“Oh Bert, calm down. I could play a song to help you sleep.” said Ernie.

“Boom! Boom!” went the trumpet.

“Stop! Where did you find this trumpet?” Bert asked.

“I found this trumpet in the music store. It is good right?” wondered Ernie.

“It is not good. You play it too loud so I can not sleep.” Bert answered.

“OK. Now, I’ll play a song with my trumpet. This song is Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. It’s good!” Ernie said.

“Si Si Do Re… …” played Ernie.

Bert couldn’t answer because he was sleeping.

After two hours, Bert still wasn’t ready to go. “What is taking you so long?” Ernie said. “I don’t know what to wear, Ernie. I am tired of wearing the same sweater, pants and sneakers. I want to try something different!” said Bert sadly. “Okay! Bert! I know what we can do today! Let’s go to the mall to get you some new clothes!” said Ernie. “That’s great! I can’t wait!” said Bert happily. Then, they went to the mall excitedly.
