The Stray Kitten
One silent morning, a ditty kitten walked
on a street looking for food.
After two days, the kitten still couldn’t
find any food. Though it could find some water to drink to be alive, it was
still weak.
The kitten walked to a big beautiful lake,
it met anther kitten. The new kitten was clean and beautiful, and didn’t like
the dirty one with mud congealed on its fur.
The beautiful kitten turned away and
quickly ran to the edge of the lake.
Suddenly, the ground went away from under
the beautiful kitten’s paws, and she fell in lake!
Though she had been mean and unfriendly to
him, the dirty kitten still jumped into lake and pulled her to the bank.
The water from the lake cleaned the dirty kitten’s
fur and washed away the mud from his face.
When the beautiful kitten saw how handsome
and brave he was, she felt so ashamed.
“Thank you so much” she said quietly. “Please
come home with me, I know a little girl who will take care of us!”
The kitten walked home happily together.
When the little girl saw her beautiful kitten’s friend she loved him at once.
The dirty kitten was never hungry or cold
again.
