It’s seven o’clock in the morning. It’s
time for breakfast. Ernie got up, but Bert was still asleep. Today, they have a
basketball championship game. They had to wake up early. They had to be at the
basketball count by nine o’clock. Ernie tried to wake up Bert, but Bert didn’t
get up. Finally, Ernie had a idea. He played the trumpet and said, “Attention!
The 2015 basketball championship winner is…” Suddenly, Bert sat up and shouted,
“Gosh, I missed the game! Did we win the game, Ernie?” Ernie said, “Nope, but
if you don’t hurry, we really will miss the game!” Bert is lucky! He still has
time to be at the basketball court on time!
