Bert went to a party last night. He didn’t
get home until three o’clock in the morning. Ernie woke up early and he was
ready to go to school. They have a big test today. “Bert! Hurry! Wake up! We
have to go to school now!” Bert said, “No, there is no school today. Today is
Sunday.” “No, today is Monday! We have to go to school!” Bert still didn’t want
to get up. Ernie got his trumpet, “Honk! Honk! We have an English test today!”
Bert sat up and looked at the date on his cellphone. “What! Today is Monday!”
Bert screamed! They hurried to school, but Bert failed his exam. He promised
not to party until that late again.
